Ohad Mazor

(born 1998 in Haifa, Israel) is a queer independent artist, gaga teacher and former dancer in Batsheva Dance Company (2016-2023).

In their time in the company Ohad took part in the original creations of « 2019 » and « MOMO » by Ohad Naharin and « The Look »  by Sharon Eyal as well as restagings and adaptations of Naharin’s work. Ohad served a guest teacher at Gibney Dance Company, SUNY Purchase College, Mark Morris Dance Center. In addition to being a dancer Ohad’s performance research lies at an intersection between dance, drag and confession, dealing with identity, gender and politics through a hyper personal lens and through various mediums. They presented their solo work « Flat/ a one Woman Cabaret » in 2022 at CCA: Tel Aviv-Yafo Gallery and in Habait theatre 2023 in which they delves into their « queer dancing body ». In addition Ohad presented short works within Batsheva Dancers Create platforms, Intimadance Festival 2023, and performed as « Sima Everything » on alternative stages. Ohad writes a personal substack named « The Emancipation of MeMe ».
